Who’s looking forward to spring? I can’t wait and have started compiling my wish list of pretty, sweet things. Here are springy flowers for Ruth’s birthday party this past Sunday: we celebrated 3 people that day and 2 people the day before!
Lemony cookies were the perfect, bright sweets to bring to the party.
with sprinkles of rainbow sugar crystals from Chambre de Sucre for a little crunch and colorful sparkle.
For the occasion of meeting Evelyne and Alan’s extremely adorable 4 1/2 month old son Oliver: purples and greens.
And for Jenn’s 40th Birthday Party at the delicious iCi in Brooklyn, more yellow, purple and greens.
This time making the banana bread recipe from Leite’s Culinaria I used regular wheat flour. I also like adding chocolate chips and keeping it in the fridge; it’s pretty good chilled. And using mini loaf pans makes it easier to distribute to friends.
This leftover tulip was just for me.
It opened beautifully: a promise of the warmer, sunnier months to come, may they arrive swiftly.
